The House
Laurent & Lys is a private estate stewardship established in 1926 on a single estate in Coimbatore, India. It designs, builds and manages private food ecosystems on land its clients own. Laurent & Lys is the name behind The Lysden and The Laurent Room.
The Lysden is a community. It is free to join, personally reviewed, and connects members with hand-picked natural farms near them. The Laurent Room is a private service: Laurent & Lys designs, builds and manages an entire food estate on land you already own, grown to your standard and served to you alone. The Lysden connects you to farms; The Laurent Room builds you one.
No. Laurent & Lys is an independent family stewardship founded in 1926 in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. It has no connection to any fashion house, restaurant or other business with a similar name.
From its founding estate in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, Laurent & Lys works across South India — Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Both routes begin with an application that is read personally. Joining The Lysden is free and open to anyone who grows food naturally or wants to eat that way. The Laurent Room is by invitation and limited application, with a small number of estates accepted each season.
The Lysden
The Lysden is a private community by Laurent & Lys for people who grow food naturally and the people who choose to eat that way. It is not a marketplace and not an open app — it is a small, carefully verified circle where every farm is hand-picked and every member is personally reviewed.
Yes. Joining costs nothing. It is not open to everyone, though — a short application is reviewed personally by our team before a member is let in.
Both. Farmers and producers growing food without shortcuts join as growers. People looking for food they can trust join as members. The point of The Lysden is that the two know each other directly.
Every farm is hand-picked and checked regularly, with results shown openly to members. There is no badge, seal or certification fee — the standard is held by people who watch the process, not by a certificate on a wall.
When a farm has fresh food ready, members nearby are notified and connect directly with the farm to arrange delivery or pickup. The Lysden opens the door; the rest stays between the member and the farm.
The Lysden is open across South India — Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana — and is growing deliberately slowly from there.
The Laurent Room
The Laurent Room is the private estate service of Laurent & Lys. It designs, builds and manages an entire food estate on land you own — grown with the exact food you want, to the highest natural standard, and served to you alone.
No. The Laurent Room is not a restaurant, a venue or a dining room, and it is unrelated to any restaurant of a similar name. It is a private estate built on land its owner already holds, producing food for that household alone.
Yes. The Laurent Room builds on land you already own. The size of that land is part of the application, because it determines what the estate can be designed to produce.
Entry is by invitation and limited application. A small number of estates are accepted each season, and applications for Season 26 are open now. Every application is read personally.
Every client also joins a small, private circle of other owners — a quiet fraternity of custodians and stewards, reserved for the few who understand that true wealth is biological.
Across South India — Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana — managed from the founding Laurent & Lys estate in Coimbatore.
