Accessibility Policy

We are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or the technology used to browse it. Accessibility is not a one-time project for us — it is an ongoing responsibility we revisit every time we design or redesign a page.

We aim for this website to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA — the internationally recognised standard published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), and the benchmark referenced by most accessibility laws worldwide, including the ADA in the United States and the European Accessibility Act. WCAG 2.2 is organised around four principles: that content must be perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust.

We treat Level AA as our working target rather than a claim of full, formal conformance. Where we fall short in any particular place, we want to know about it — see Section 6 below.

• Sufficient colour contrast between text and its background across the site, including over photography.
• A logical heading structure and reading order, so that screen reader and keyboard users can navigate content in a sensible sequence.
• Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images, so their content is conveyed to people who cannot see them.
• Forms with visible labels, clear indication of required fields, and inline error messages that describe exactly what needs to be corrected.
• Keyboard-operable navigation, menus, and forms, without relying on a mouse or touch input.
• Respect for reduced-motion preferences where animation is used, and avoidance of content that flashes or moves in ways that could trigger seizures or vestibular discomfort.
• Resizable text that remains legible when enlarged using browser zoom, without loss of content or function.

This site is built with semantic HTML and standard web technologies, and is intended to be compatible with recent versions of major screen readers (such as VoiceOver, NVDA, and JAWS) paired with recent versions of major browsers (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and Edge). If you use a specific combination of assistive technology and browser and encounter a problem, please tell us the combination you were using — it helps us fix the right thing.

Despite our best efforts, some parts of this website may not yet be fully accessible. Photography-heavy sections, for instance, are an area we continue to refine to ensure text always remains legible over imagery at every screen size. We are actively working to identify and correct any remaining barriers, and we welcome being told about ones we have missed.

If you experience any difficulty accessing content or using any feature on this website, please let us know. We treat accessibility feedback with the same priority as any other correction, and we will do our best to address it promptly.

We review this website's accessibility whenever we introduce a new page or redesign an existing one, and we revisit this policy at least once a year, or sooner if our practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent review.

Where this site links out to third-party services — such as our social media profiles — those destinations are operated independently and are not covered by this policy. We encourage third parties we work with to meet the same standard we hold ourselves to.
